ACTO is the name of the new Turin-based collective made up of 12 designers and architectural firms that will work in synergy on design competitions announced in Latin America.
ACTO – from the Spanish “action” and an acronym for Architecture Collective Torino – was formed as part of the POLITO Studio advanced training course of the Association of Architects of Turin and the Polytechnic University of Turin, which through theory, workshops, and practical application to architectural competitions will bring participants closer to a deep understanding of this market, with the aim of increasing the level of competition of Italian designers internationally.

At the same time, the work of TDH – TURIN Design Hub continues: the group was created within POLITO Studio and composed of 12 architecture firms and the China Room research group of the Architecture and Design Department of the Polytechnic University of Turin, which has been engaged since last year in exploring and applying to architecture competitions in the Chinese market and in not even a year has won the rankings of two international competitions in China.
