Polito Studio China 2021-23

In February 2021, a call was published to select 12 professional individuals or associates to take part in a two-year training and mentorship program focused on entering the Chinese market.

The working group – comprising Chinese professionals, researchers, and partners – participates in applied higher education workshops aimed at equipping them with the skills and networks needed to engage in real projects and architectural competitions in China.
The initiative seeks to enhance professional expertise and create new opportunities.
The call is promoted in collaboration with the TOChina Centre of the Università di Torino and the Fondazione Italia-Cina.

The 12 selected studios have formed a team called TDH Turin Design Hub.

TDH ranked fourth in the international architectural competition for the Meiguan Innovative Corridor in China, out of a total of 21 submissions. The competition focused on one of the key hubs of the Greater Bay Area – an economically and politically strategic region centered around cities like Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Shenzhen, which has undergone significant urban transformations in recent years.

In June 2022, TDH achieved another major milestone in the BEYOND YUE / JANHU REVIVAL PLANNING AND DESIGN COMPETITION, an international architecture competition, ranking among the top 20 selected projects.

Since December 2022, the installation GBA Uninterrupted, created by TDH architects and researchers from Politecnico di Torino, has been featured at the 9th Shenzhen Biennial.
