The Association of Architects of Turin and the Polytechnic University of Turin present Polito Studio, the internationalization project launched in 2020 to offer professionals and researchers new opportunities across borders, to take stock of the objectives already achieved and future prospects.
The seminar presenting the results of Polito Studio will be held on 17 March at Toolbox Coworking, via Agostino da Montefeltro 2, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The seminar will open with an overview of Chinese society and its market and the opportunities for architects. China, in fact, holds enormous potential for Italian architects, as well as many difficulties of access. To provide clarity, we will dialogue with sinologists, academics and professionals who are experts in Italy-China relations and who will have the task of outlining possible strategies to make the most of the opportunities.
Guests include Giada Messetti, sinologist and journalist, and Francesca Spigarelli, Director of the China Center at the University of Macerata. The guests will dialogue with Peter Jaeger, Councillor of the Association, and Michele Bonino, Director of the Department of Architecture and Design, Politecnico di Torino. Guest of honor will be SUN Cheng, Dean of the School of Architecture, Harbin Institute of Technology, who will offer an expert look at the context.
Following this, there will be an illustration of the projects realized by the three multidisciplinary teams created as part of the project, composed of designers enrolled in the Order and Politecnico professors and researchers, protagonists of a path of accompaniment to foreign markets, China, and Latin America, with concrete results and projects. In closing, a look at Africa, Polito Studio’s next market of interest.
