The kick-off meeting

April 20th kicked off the operational phase of POLITO Studio, the project promoted by the Association of Architects and the Polytechnic University of Turin to promote the skills of designers internationally. A two-year cycle of workshops will accompany 12 architectural firms selected through public call, which during the webinar meeting had the opportunity to get to know each other by evaluating the different skills to be put in place in order to participate in architectural competitions in China.

The project was led by the working group formed by Cristina Coscia, Antonio Cinotto, and Ursula Grodzicka for the Association of Architects, and Michele Bonino, Valeria Federighi, and Paolo Mellano for the Polytechnic University of Turin. Internationalization: the premise of the POLITO Studio experience is to look at international markets. The Association and the Polytechnic place their skills and networks developed over the years at the service of designers, bringing the quality of architects from Turin and beyond to foreign countries.
Network: professionals alone are small players when compared to some of the most important international realities. POLITO Studio’s working group intends to demonstrate how it is possible to unite professional skills to create realities comparable to foreign references.
Skills: POLITO Studio is an incubator, which is why proactive participation is necessary. The possibility of combining the skills of younger people and the experience of professionals is an essential value for the team.
