Webinar
March 23rd 2022, 16.00-18.00
On March 23rd the second phase of POLITO Studio kicks off. POLITO Studio is the internationalization project born from the collaboration between the Association of Architects of Turin and the Polytechnic University of Turin to offer designers and researchers new opportunities across borders.
In addition to the focus on the Chinese market, which opened the project in 2021, from this year a new accompanying program will start, focusing on Latin America, particularly Colombia, a geographical area in which the Polytechnic University of Turin has a consolidated presence. Through training workshops centered on real cases of design competitions and tenders, POLITO Studio will offer the selected architects a free specialized training course, an experience of working in multidisciplinary teams oriented towards internationalization, and an in-depth knowledge of the professional opportunities offered by the Latin American market, by participating in competitions announced in the area.
The March 23rd meeting POLITO Studio in Bogotá: Italian Design Day (2 CFP) will in fact be broadcast live via webinar from Bogotá’s Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. At the center of the event, the lectio magistralis by Professor Paolo Mellano ‘The culture of Italian Design in the experiences of research internationalization between Italy and Colombia’, and the round table dedicated to the presentation of the collaboration project between Italian and Colombian architects by POLITO Studio. Objective: to provide participants with an initial overview of the Colombian market and the opportunities for Italian designers.
The meeting, held on the international day dedicated to Italian design in the world, will be an opportunity to present the call reserved for members of the Association through which professionals will be selected to participate, in multidisciplinary teams with Polytechnic professors and researchers, in a two-year training and accompanying course to the Latin American market. The project program will be based on concrete project cases, such as architecture competitions and contests.
Registration is now open and 2 training credits for architects are awarded; for programme details and registration details GO TO THE MEETING PAGE.
