Latin America

The second phase of Polito Studio focuses on Latin America, particularly Colombia, a region where Politecnico di Torino has an established presence and a collaboration with Bogotá’s Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.

To launch the call for architects and highlight opportunities in this market, a webinar was held, featuring a lectio magistralis by Professor Paolo Mellano of Politecnico di Torino, titled ‘The culture of Italian Design in the experiences of research internationalization between Italy and Colombia’.

In 2022, 12 professionals were selected to form a new design team, leading a two-year training and mentorship program focused on the Latin American market. The initiative involves researchers from Politecnico di Torino, Universidad de La Salle in Bogotá and Universidad Javeriana de Cali.
